What we need

Kitchen cabinets

Wardrobes

Something to display our collections

Electrical/ Lightings

Rain shower

Cabinet in the toilet

We concluded that the sink from HDB was not visually ideal, its the 1st thing on my mind to remove it. Its those type that has a longish thingy to the floor. The only visually pleasing thing was the parquet floor in the bed rooms except for some defects that was rectified by HDB after we highlighted to them, & of course the bay window! in the MBR

Advice from our ID: Remember to check for defects after you collect keys. We did a check through, & realise that some defects is not that visible on 1st look, so make sure its thorough enough. Overall we were quite happy after the minor rectifications works were done, mostly were on the edges of the parquet floor, & joints.

What we wanted

We wanted the overall theme to be kind of like the industrial type of raw look but not too much till it looks like an abandoned warehouse. Something that can blend in well with the mainstream furnitures that are comfortable too. We dont want to be sitting on cold metal to watch TV, or to have metal corners in the house, practicality counts too.

Way b4 we collected our keys, we went to a few big firms(those type with branches here & there), but were quite disappointed as their IDs were more of a sales person who did their best to sell the package rather than ideas. We thought of engaging an ID to propose design, not packages. Of course price was a consideration too, but paying a little premium for something that could well last 10 or more was well worth, compare this to buying a car in sg
