1d2wish 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2013 Hello World! We bought an EM in the West back in Oct 2013. Knowing that we ain't going to do much to the new house, decided to go slow on the renovation. As usual, first thing first is the floor plan.

1d2wish 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2013 Thanks for the warm welcome. As this unit is on a rather low floor and we are getting very little light coming into the kitchen and dining area. And to keep it simple we decided to change the windows and grills, hack down the original utility room (or store room which was done up by ex-owner), which will provide us plenty of kitchen space and nature light. We will thus having a open kitchen.

1d2wish 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2013 Hi,Welcome and Congrats for being the owner of an EM...Is that the original condition of the house? It is in pretty new condition...you are so lucky.Thanks.That was the first thing we thought when we saw the house. The house was kept very neat and tidy by the ex-owner I would say. And we really like the layout of the house with open concept kitchen. But after few rounds of self-poison from this forum, I gathered many wonderful concepts from the people here and decided to at least do up the house in a practical and livable way. 1d2wish 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2013 One of the must change items is the window, and it is also the one which get changed first. We are very happy with the outcome, more lights are coming into the house due to the clear glass we've chosen. Also not forgetting the colour of the window frame actually makes the house looks different.

1d2wish 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2013 We actually wanted to retain the living and dining floor without doing any reno work on it. But after exposed to different ideas and much considerations, we deceided to overlay the existing tiles with laminations.
1d2wish 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2013 Finally the common toilet is up. This is a dry toilet mainly for guest and thus no shower point will be built in. Really like the clean cut look of it.
