fedoradeanna 1 Report post Posted November 8, 2013 Hello all. I'm trying to find furniture for my place that looks similar like Crate And Barrel Singapore.Problem is, I'm not sure if they provide customisation options. The pricing is okay but I'm also looking at something cheaper. But not Ikea or FortyTwo standard cos the quality is bad. Anyone knows where I can find similar-style furniture shop in Singapore?

zzxxyy 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2014 I would be interested to view the Castlery showroom. I was looking through the site and it looks good but I really would prefer to see it for real. Or at least have many more pictures. Thx.
EdensMom 8 Report post Posted June 14, 2014 Okay, I have bought many things from FortyTwo. Previously in another post on the forum I said they were good (eg good customer service, decent prices, and delivered on time). However, within six months, the bed frames have gone very mouldy. So my learning from this is to be VERY careful with buying cheap furniture, wherever it is from. We previously has the same issue with a cupboard bought from Novena Furniture. You need to make sure that any leather or chipboard is treated appropriately for topical weather, and cheap online store like FortyTwo is unlikely to warn you of this looming hazard. I think you are best not to buy from them.

Anyone knows where I can find similar-style furniture shop in Singapore?Hello fedoraeanna & EdensMom,Thank you both for mentioning us in your posts! At FortyTwo, we strive to provide the best value for money in all the products that we sell online. We include detailed product descriptions, hi-resolution photos, videos, product reviews by real customers, product questions & answers to help our customers make educated buying decisions. Some of the extra tidbits of information that we offer on our product pages include our Quality Score (http://www.fortytwo.sg/magazine/2011/10/04/beds-sg-furniture-quality-score/), an honest internal review on product quality which you can find on most products. This is a recent product scoring feature we implemented when we found that some customers tend to be too kind in their reviews of some of the entry-level products that we carry. We do carry higher end furniture items at very affordable prices as well. Do check them out!As Singapore's largest locally bred home & decor eCommerce website, we also run FortyTwo Magazine, which contains many useful articles for homeowners like yourselves. Some articles that would interest you include these on buying leather furniture (http://www.fortytwo.sg/magazine/2011/07/12/buy-good-leather-furniture-sofas-couches/) and furniture online (http://www.fortytwo.sg/magazine/2010/06/04/tips-buying-furniture-online-shopping/). Thanks to your feedback, we're now looking at ways of making these more accessible on the website for the benefit of all our customers!@EdensMom, we're sorry to hear about the mould growing on the leather furniture you've purchased. One of the prerequisites that we have for furniture suppliers is that they do not use excessively harsh chemicals in treating their furniture products, due to the frequency of human contact with these surfaces (especially with young children). Unfortunately, Singapore's humid climate does encourage the growth of mould and mildew on just about any surface that is not regularly maintained, which is why we have devoted an entire section of our magazine to home maintenance ( Do drop me a PM or an email with your order number! We have a special small leather care package to send your way. Hope that it will help you resolve your mould problem. Do remember to clean your leather furniture regularly with rubbing alcohol, leather wipes or white vinegar solution to keep it mould-free. -- Best Regards, Cheak Hong IanManager (Marketing Communications)FortyTwo Pte. EdensMom 8 Report post Posted October 7, 2014 Just a response to the manager Cheak Hong Ian from FortyTwo above..... for the last few months I have tried to contact you regarding your response above to rectify my mould situation. You haven't replied to any of my emails! I thank you for the kind offer on this forum, but it would be nice if you followed through with what is said.
