Laying Vinyl Flooring Under Wardrobe

is it a norm for contractor not to overlay vinyl flooring under custom built wardrobes since there are existing old flooring. Will there be any potential issue after a few years?

Need advice.

Yes it is not necessary to do so......no issue except for silicone wear & tear...
