autoclave 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2013 I'm about to redo my flat's kitchen and would like to know how the kitchen countertop's area is calculated. Basically, my current countertop is a 13x2 (26 square tiles) long rectangular configuration. Each square tile as I measured, is exactly 1ft x 1ft, i.e. 1 sq ft.The part that confuses me are the cut out areas where you put the sink and stove. Will these areas which will eventually be cut out, be still included within a contractor's material cost calculation?

mikeyong500 4 Report post Posted October 2, 2013 Yupz, agree with smartlady. Btw countertop calculations goes by pfr, unless you have extra large size items like kitchen island etc.mikey
