kanas 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2013 Hi everyoneNeed kind advice from those who have overlay existing tile flooring with laminates/vinyl/HERF flooring.... Should I hack away old tile skirting and replace with new matching skirting material? Need to pay extra $$ for the hacking & new skirting, so wondering whether to do it or not? Will it look ugly (or any other problem) to leave the old tile skirting as it is? Any pix to show? Thanks in advance!
symphony 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2013 Hi kanas, looks like RT isn't too active these days Ok, replacing the skirting is definitely nicer aesthetically and the additional cost is worth it.Otherwise you can use vinyl/herf without wall skirting as they do not need the expansion space requires for laminate floors. The sub-floor must be quite even though for vinyl/herf or else the joints of the tiles/planks can be an eyesore.
