We cooked our first complete meal yesterday, with minimal help from our mothers. The entire meal of chicken rice was cooked in the Miele Steam Oven – a heavy investment! It was an extremely simple process, considering our inexperience in cooking. Looking forward to maximizing the use of our steam oven and have more healthy steamed meals at home.

Here are some pics of the process...

Hi RumbleInstyle... still there? :)

Do you happen to have the subcon's contact for your window grilles? thanks...

Yet another checklist of work done over the last few days:

[√] Main door – wanted a condo feel with a long vertical handle

[√] Door frame varnished – two shades darker than the door

[√] Iron gate – simple white horizontal bars

[√] Window grilles – aligned to our louvered windows to minimize view obstruction

Hi bSeek,

Still here, but slow response as we have been overseas and only have intermittent internet access.

Nope, we don't have any subcon's contact.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

We're back from our overseas trip to celebrate the holidays with family and friends.

Over the last two days, we had a couple of gatherings with groups of friends, so we transformed our study room to a cozy dining area, enough to comfortably sit 10. Here are some before and after pics of the makeover.

A simple mix-and-match project that combines a Venetian mask with an Ikea lamp. The mask maker also made the masks for the movie Eyes Wide Shut. It's quite tall, so we were looking for a table lamp with a stand tall enough to fit it, but with a design simple enough not to draw attention away from the mask. Happy with the results of our mix-and-match!
