cookiegal 1 Report post Posted July 31, 2013 (edited) I thought I should start something like the rest of you as I see the joys and excitement in blogging the progress. What's more, I'm less than a week away in holding the keys. (Not sure about any rituals or things to follow during the door opening session, anyone?)Bought a 3 bedder resale unit in the west which is about 20 yrs old already that cost us a bomb (but of course a long term investment for us ). The unit was rather old and we have to renovate entirely, only retaining the rooms and living flooring (gotta do some repair on it, $$$). We will only be staying in the MBR, with 1 Spare Room + 1 Media Room (For playing game consoles and karaoke system - to destress). We prefer comtemporary designs and moving towards the direction of a simple and relaxing home.We are still in the midst of selecting and finding quotes for ID and renovation, process is rather tedious as we are mostly available in the weekends only and with a budget for reno. Will take pictures during our thorough inspections next week when the keys are here.! Here's the layout of our house! Qing Duo Duo Zhi Jiao... =) Edited July 31, 2013 by cookiegal

winger 1 Report post Posted August 2, 2013 Most ID or contractor specialise in one thing or another such as tiling, carpentry etc.. find the one thing that is most important to you and eliminate those that don't fit these criteria. This way can make it easier to decide.

Still figuring and bumping around for contractors / ID that can give me an assurance to build up my dream house!Opened up the mailbox and was shocked that Singapore Power had already mailed me and also see the mailbox was full of letters.advertisement (marjority that dont belong to us)!
