Question The Led Downlights For Living Room

Hi,

A qns on LED lights required for a HDB flat. I am thinking getting contractor to build false ceiling and L box as shown in pic. L1 to L12 are the normal LED round downlights. However,my wife wants the LED downlights to be small (means she doesn't want the diameter of LED casing to be larger than 6 inches.So for a 5 room flat, will 10 LED lights of 8~10 Wattbe able to light up the Living room? Or is it too dim and we need at least 12or 16W? Thanks

oops, i realise i am not ableto attach picture. But for a 5 room HDB living room of dimension about 7715mm by 5400 mm, is 10 LED donwlights of appr 8W sufficient to ligh up the place?

I was told, it's not the watts that matters but the lumens.

Can someone please share some pointers?
