zihui 7 Report post Posted October 9, 2013 4-6 weeks?? Seriously? thought it will be delivered this week and can ship out next week. I m using www.ship2order.com coz it's Seb's friend and they waived off admin charges....Starting to panic now coz we ordered downlights, sink and shower system so will definitely delay the reno progress.. aiyaya ...No need to panic.Maybe I was the only one who faced all these issues because Peeka kept coming back to us to ensure that the size of the basin is correct, to inform us that the LED downlights were OOS, then the replacement ones that I ordered were OOS once again, so had to find a 3rd seller to buy from. For all you know, all of the items that you ordered are readily available and they have super prompt delivery to the China receiving centre? However, even if the items can all be shipped out by next week, the vessel shipment lead time from China to Singapore is approximately 2 weeks (depending on weather) - unless you opted for express delivery / air freight. Shall wait for the agent to get back to me if she has any issues. I opt for normal shipping (8-10 days). Fingers crossed that the staff will look after our order more closely coz we are frds of the boss. Anyway, thanks for the heads-up. Can't wait to see your tb purchases~ It's addictive ya~

Yue Minjun replica?PS the bathroom looks very resort. Well done!Hey Greg,No idea to be honest. That's what I read from WMF reviews online and that's what the Taka sales staff said when I pressed her about it.I like the happycall pots and am using them at home now too - the fact that they're in pink make me want them even more.We didn't get the table lamp because the HTB has already bought a Yue Minjun replica art piece and is hanging it where we would have placed the table lamp if we had bought it. Figured it'all be a bit of an overkill. Thanks for the kind words! We started out with a 'city living' theme, but when the FSM ordered us to use cream, we had to adapt somewhat. Now we are going with the 'confused living' theme ;P

Can't wait to see your tb purchases~ It's addictive ya~Yeah, shopping is always addictive, online or otherwise.Actually I don't know anything about shipping and logistics but 'your friend' tells me that typically it takes 3 days to load the container and to prep the vessel, including the sorting out of the B/L and other shipping documents. After that, a standard voyage lead time from China to Singapore is anytime from 12 - 16 days, after which there's still the unloading and documentation process for cargo clearance here in Singapore. Fingers crossed that our purchases arrive soon and in good condition. I'm going to place my second TB order now that the long Chinese holidays are over. zihui 7 Report post Posted October 9, 2013 r u gg to try Amazon? Gg to get some stuff there as well.Yup, the HTB has already bought some stuff from Amazon, but mostly decorative pieces.Which reminds me - he bought an UGLY painting back from Phnom Penh!! I'll take a photo of it and post it here tomorrow. I'm beginning to think that he's buying souvenirs from his travels just for the sake of buying them. I dread to think what he's going to bring back from Myanmar next week.....
ProjectH 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2013 There is such a place called storeroom to store "too artsy" painting .. Haaahaa
zihui 7 Report post Posted October 10, 2013 There is such a place called storeroom to store "too artsy" painting .. HaaahaaHAHHAHAthat's an EXCELLENT idea! you know, if it's artsy I can still tolerate it.but the problem now is that it's not even nice!Take a look at it - I was stunned when I first saw it, to be honest. I told him, "Our theme is 'city living'. How is this related to the theme?" And his brilliant response is that this is the 'origins' of city living... ... *facepalm* And he's so proud that it costs only $6. I wouldn't have taken it even if it was free. So now I'm either going to adopt Project H's suggestion of the storeroom or I can give it to whomever has a housewarming teehee... just need to find a way to do it without letting him realize....
