SnOOpy 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2013 (edited) After having to deal with 2 fridges in one week, I made a few observation and liked to share with youWhile one do look at price, features and volume size of the fridge, it is important to take note of the following :Check the size of the fridge against ....a. The space available. You need about 5 cm allowance between the walls and fridge for air circulationsb. The size of your front door, gates, kitchen enterance and (maybe) the lift (for us HDB dwellers who has no access to cargo lifts). In my case, the delivery guys had to remove one of the front gates, the back protective panel & PCB of the fridge to move it in.He also used the carton box packing, to protect my front door against stretches.Had we not renovated the kitchen, removing an arch on the kitchen entertance & the sliding door + frame, my guess is that it might not be able to move in.Yes, we bought the fridge while the reno works is in progress and informed the ID about the size. He factored this into the kitchen's platform design and we have a nice fit.I am unsure if the agents will take the lift size in consideration when offering various models here.Hoped this helps.
