Hello, it's been a while since there are any updates. That's because we haven't confirm our carpentry designs with Mr K (as I'm always out of town) *sigh*.

So what has been done this week are:

1. Painting of the walls (there is one more coat of paint to be done when all the carpentry is up)

2. Installation of air-con

Meanwhile, hubby and I are still sourcing for lights.

It's system 4 and I got it from Mr K's contact

Hmm.. I guess Mr K always contact me directly cos he thinks I am the "project manager", I speak better chinese than my fiance (haha!), and I was the one who contacted him to be our contractor initially

It's been 5 days since I've last updated this t-blog chat. So without further ado, here are some of the progress:

1) Flooring Done!

2) Air-con is up and door frame is painted black

3) L-Shaped Shower Screen for Common Toilet is up!

4) Shower screen for Master Bedroom

5) Tempered Glass Door for Master Bedroom also done

6) View of Corridor and Living Room (standing from Master Bedroom)

Hi waver21, yup we did overlay the toilet tiles. That's because fiance doesn't want to have kerb for shower area so we asked Mr K to over the toilet except the shower area, which makes the shower area lower than the toilet floor; hence the water won't flow out.

Hi v04, I'm using dulux paint for my house. The paint code for my living room is Natural Cane WW 22617L

As for the cost of the brick wall, it is $3.4K

After 3 weeks of hiatus, the lights and ceiling fan in our house are finally installed!

LED Down Lights with warm lighting - From Malaysia (RM 80 each)

Dining Lights - From Taobao (~ SGD $40)

Kitchen Lights - From Taobao (~ SGD $10 each)

Ceiling Lights for all rooms - From Malaysia (~RM 50 if I remember correctly)

Service Yard Light - From Taobao (~ SGD $20)

Living Area

Wanted Haiku brand for our Ceiling Fan but realised it's about USD 900 which is way over our budget. Not sure why my taste is so expensive either.

So I compromised and bought the Crestar Aircraft 54" (Black) fan instead.

Hmm for the service yard light, it cost about SGD $10 (or less) including shipping.

The kitchen lights cost about SGD $15 thereabouts for both including shipping.

The Tom Dixon Beat dining lights are more expensive; which cost about SGD $40 thereabouts including shipping

Yes these lights are bigger and have to be shipped to singapore instead of using air freight, which explains why the lights took that long to be installed
