kaerb 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2013 Hi Apple1,Do you mind sharing the contact of your contraactor? Any reason why you use different contractor for your other reno, e.g. electrical?
Apple1 6 Report post Posted September 20, 2013 THE reason I used different contractors is to save cost. I have a main contractor that do the hacking, tiling, ceiling, plastering, painting and carpentry. I went direct to a glass company to fix all my glass doors, backsplash, shower screens. For doors, I also went direct to the factory of the door company. Aircon and electrician are also direct. Lastly is the window company tat fix up my blinds. What I did was to get an overall quotation from a main contractor then I look into individual details on how I could save if I go direct. There was no ID involved. I did save quite a neat sum. However, for this, we had to compromise by being more directly involved in the whole reno process. Of all the contractors we work with, the best has to be the electrician and window treatment... awesome service & quick response.

Apple1 6 Report post Posted September 20, 2013 Basic tiling is on post #43. Difficult to split up the bill cause of plumbing, electric, accessaries, shower screen vanity top....etc.
