Which Isolator To Use

Recommended Posts

Hi,

sorry this is not home use but industrial, but don't know where to ask. hope I can find some answer here.

if I have a equipment that need to hook up to a supply, should I use a 20A isolator or 32A isolator? my equipment is a 230V single phase.

when do I use a 20A when to use a 32A?

thank you

What equipment are you trying to isolate? What is the power rating of the equipment? P=IV so a 20A rating should not exceed theorectical 4.6kW max. and a 32A rating should not exceed theorectical 7.36 kW. This is assuming you only have one equipment connected. You need to make sure your source is at 230V and not 400V and that your source can handle the required power as well.
