Hi All,

Speaking about steamboat, maybe u'll like to tune in to next Thursday's variety show on ch8 (Buffet Buffet) at 8pm. They'll be showing 3 steamboat places and rating them. Maybe can find a new and interesting place to go.

there is this sichuan place along north bridge road

a few doors down from where islamic nasi bryani used to be

the owner was previously one of the chefs from sichuan douhua

i didn't try the mala steamboat buffet but the a la carte dishes are :good:

I like the one a Tanglin Shopping Centre, its call 'chong qing huo guo'

There is a new one at Vivo City. Price varies depending on lunch / dinner / weekdays / weekends. When I was there last Sunday, it was $17.50+++. Smelled good but didn't try - will do it on a weekday lunch to cut cost (almost the same items anyway).

Found another one opposite Bukit Timah Shopping Centre. $17.90+++ including Chilli Crabs. There is a durian stall next to it so you can buy some durians after your dinner.
