heavenarmy 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2013 I heard that for new HDB flat, if I want to do tiles for the main areas and laminates for the rooms, the HDB-appointed contractor might not want to do that as they may not be able to claim the full amount from HDB. Anyone has experience of this can kindly confirm and if so, what can be done?

heavenarmy 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2013 It's not that. I heard from my contractor that in the event the owner requests from HDB for screeding for the rooms, but not the living or kitchen, the HDB contractor will only get paid for doing 3 rooms instead of the whole place, for the same setup costs. Hence, the contractor may not be so keen.
battleangel 2 Report post Posted May 19, 2013 It is all $$$ matters in the local context.I think giving the contractors doing the cement screeding some extra $$$ will alleviate problems and ensure a smooth work process,to save all the headaches.
