actually you can, but people dont because they do not want unhappy events from staining the renov.

if you cleanse your home before and after then should be no problem... because the negative energy is purged.

Have you seen any bosses give their construction workers break during Ghost month? Life still carry on and there is no problem renovating your house during the Ghost month, so long as the start of renovation, i.e. 动土, begins before the Ghost month.

After renovation, you can use Salt and sprinkle them at all corners to 'cleanse' the house.

I dont think we should be overly superstitious in our belief....

I don think our mean bosses give us a break during Ghost festival and why should everything come to a complete halt??

In fact, if the western can celebrate and had so much fun during their Halloween..why the brave chinese like us need to fear anything about the spiritual month???? ** Strange **
