oYx 1 Report post Posted April 15, 2013 (edited) Area is about 190 sqft.Hacking of tiles ($500) + retiling ($1800) = $2300If the hacking needs to go deeper (hacking of concrete layer), the total will go to $2700.Tiles are a separate cost.Is the quote fair? kangeroo168 10 Report post Posted April 15, 2013 Quite reasonable, i should say.. but i just dont understand why they 'need to hack deeper' . I mean, how thick can ur existing tiles be.?
oYx 1 Report post Posted April 15, 2013 Thanks for the reply. The replacement tiles are quite thick, so the tiler may have to hack all the way to the base. I'm not very sure about the technical issues involved, but he comes recommended by the tile shop, so I assume he knows what he is doing.
