Hi, am confused over what should I budget if I want overhaul my 5 room HDB. For eg, in the ideahouse elegance package, it says just around 18k is needed. However from reading the various posts in this forum it seems like the budget should be around 40k. Am i missing anything?

you should list down what you want to do first.

Overhaul means it'll be a total change? the package usually is a 'basic' renovation only. with 18k you won't get much, no carpentry, no hacking.
