Had a minor upset with Universal Union

We Got the Geberit Monolith.. so the sales guy recommended that Critzo WC is compatible with it.... However when it got delivered it was a wrong model....

I asked him to take it back ... He said we will get the correct model in 2 weeks..... 4 weeks gone no news.... My wify took them to task and finaly after atleast 10-15 phone calls the sales guy said Critzo is not responding so they propose Rigel WP9010S.... $250 extra :angry2:

No choice ... asked him to deliver.....

Moral of the story... dont sign the DO if the piece you asked for is not delivered... no matter what is the sweet talk......

Special mention about Aron Putt and Ah Boon

Very Clean work... the guys job is like clockwork... initially i had second thoughts as the response to msgs were slow... but then realized that these guys should be very busy given the quality of work....

they din even collect the initial deposit one the pipe trunking was done.

they just followed what my ID had asked them for the Trunking... No fuss....

as usual i reserve my comments till i test the aircon after running it for atleast 8 hours... but all looks good... fingers crossed

Oh Yes... one more thing

Based on the feedback from renotalk... i asked Vincent to visit our house for Curtains

He said........ first lets measure the curtains and look at the cost... if you like it then lets talk

then we looked at the material...though the collection was not very extensive... all the fabric was nice

he also provided suggestions.....

told us not to use venetians as they are very heavy and can break..... instead use roller blinds....

i was hesitant but the roller blind fabrics were quite nice... so agreed

cost... secret... :bleah: but trust me i was blown off....

we already visited Artliving and HMDecor both of them gave almost similar cost..

now i know why Vincent is famous at RT...

havent fixed him yet...

going into the city tmrw ... hunting for curtains... will decide next week.

Hi Cool,

I'm thinking of buying the Monolith as well. Can u post some pictures of yours in the toilet? See how good it looks. Which WC did u match with it?

Tks.

WCs were probably my biggest sorespots if i sit and think about my reno journey... (than that of my Marble experience with Hafary)

for anyone who is going out to select the WCs ... especially the ones that you need to fit with Monolith or specialized flush systems please go through the manuals to understand the requirements

Please make sure your plumber knows what you are buying and confirm with him if it would fit in your bathroo.... i had to hack into the lower portion of bathroom wall to accomodate the bend in Geberit P-Trap...

i changed from Critzo to Rigel to Toto....

very bad experience

settled for Toto CW824PJ.... but still Monolith did not sit on the floor.. cuz the Flush hole is half an inch hither than what it should be...

Toto was $750 from Universal Union....

Please dont buy Critzo... or Rigel... i will write about my experience in a seperate post....

for now the next post is some photos.... still not very clear... will post complete set over the weekend ..
