Hi Makan, Can share the model/price of aircon you got? Also, do they do down to your place to look at how to run the trunking & then gove the quotation? thanks!

Hi :) just now met air con guy to study how the trunking can be done. Surprised that he (Ah Guang) works today and he spent 30min measuring alot of stuff. Nice chap and he understood very well our concern - trunking must be swee and neat > our objective!

Wednesday will be aircon installation day! Ours is Mitsubishi Starmex inverter system 3(9000BTU x 3 units).

We bought our fridge, ceiling fans, hob, hood, microwave, tabletop old school oven, aircon, storage heater, washing machine from them. They sell also kitchen appliances too. The brands they carry are mostly European & Japanese brands.

hi vanessa, sorry we do not have spare pieces for this :( we are not using them as actual switches as the internal wiring is of very poor quality and runs a high risk of electrocution! so we are converting them as art pieces instead.

hey no worries...i saw i think in a old home and decor magazine...someone converted them into bathroom hooks...they mounted three or four onto a piece of wood...then wall mount...**** nice!

Do you mind sharing the taobao site you found the peranakan like tiles? That would help heaps...and how you calculated how much you needed.

Today we experienced Amazing Alan.

Stage of our house now:

- painting of 2 bedrooms done

- electrical wiring & plumbing 70% done (left with actual installation of ceiling fans, lights & power points. Plumbing left with bathroom basins due to wrong taps we've ordered. We've to buy new taps!)

- aircon to be installed tomorrow (painters on standby on-site tomorrow to paint the new trunking etc)

- living room box-up etc done, left installation of downlights & painting

- open net installation done

- chemical wash (ongoing now!)

- laminate flooring (this Thurs)

Alot of things are happening concurrently these few days. At any point of time, there are 2 teams of people working at our place. Alan was joking with us "you can move in one day earlier instead ie this Thursday".

Hi MK,

I called that shop, you bought your electrical appliances from, their pricing is in fact pretty competitive.

Do you know if they charge gst? or charge for delivery?

However, for aircon they were not able to quote for my requirements , they said it was not their strong point.

Thanks for the info.

Delivery also don't charge or at least they never charged us. And we asked them to split into 2 trips - the more urgent items first and then the rest a week later. They kept the stock for us for over a month! Thanks to @retchlow for her recommendation!

So he kept to his word then ya. =)

Hi jay, well after a few rounds of heart-to-heart talk between Mr E and Alan. Mr E has been spending every weekday (930am-530pm) since last week. Luckily his work is online based so he can work from anywhere.
