Spoilt Ceiling Fan Regulator?

Hi everyone,

I have a ceiling fan at home.

It started giving problems and it soon became a white elephant.

Number 1 on regulator is too slow.

Number 2 is too fast

Number 3 has no difference.

Is the fan spoil or the regulator spoil?

Is this a 5 blade fan? If yes, it's probably a faulty capacitor. I was told that the replacement would cost around $50. I bought my own capacitor at $18 @ Jalan Besar and replaced it myself.
