jetlee724 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2013 while waiting to meet some contractors and doing the survey, I have been surfing around for the items I am interested in. most likely I will put them in my future home, just keep track record, in case I forget, heheheThis is the sink I want to buy, and undermount looks good and impressivethis tap could fit this sink well, extendable, all s/s, no copper,so no lead, hehe, quite pricy of course
texas5 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2013 yes, main con is good enough for me, but I do not have any referral, searching renotalk is time spending,I will slowly collecting ideas and approaching some contractor. thanks for your adviceHi, very interested in your project because your floor plan is exactly the same as mine. If you are not in a hurry to move, you can post your jobscope in this website and request for quotations.Dont have to restrict yourself to contractor yet. just go to meet 2 or 3 ID and you may get some creative ideas from them. Then go and find a contractor to execute those ideas. But have to warn you, nowadays a lot of main cons are as exp as ID.

jetlee724 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2013 Hi jetleeHow's the search for contractor/ID? Any updates ? Hi, Spikedoll, everything goes smoothly, thanks.recently discussing with ID for the details, and the concern is plastering and painting.the quotation for these two are extremely high.Plastering:$4000painting oil-based sealer:$1500painting: $3000that will be total $8500, a bit ridiculous, anyway, ID agree that I can source my own contractor to do that
spikedoll 2 Report post Posted March 14, 2013 My ID quoted me 3200$ for plastering. Yes source yourself will be cheaper! We got our own electrician for rewiring only at $3200 ( sub con price) Do share more pics!

vanessa 12 Report post Posted November 19, 2013 Thanks for your advice. Is there any contractor can coordinate all the works? I have almost all the idea I want for my unit, so what I need is actually someone who can supervise all the reno work as I dont have much time to do it; and I know an ID will do it, but most of their quotation are sky high, eg. a granite galaxy counter top I queried contractor quoted $100/ft; and one ID quoted $140/fthmmm....i got my granite top for $98 per sq ft
greglhc 30 Report post Posted November 19, 2013 Certainly it depends on the quality/look but pretty sure that's the lower end of the market rate for granite!hmmm....i got my granite top for $98 per sq ft
