Cost Of Renovating An Em Flat

I am new here so please excuse me if I post to the wrong forum.

I received widely varying quotes for renovating my EM flat. The range is from $60,000 to $120,000 for the same terms of reference.

My flat is about 15m away from the MRT shaft station which entails a lot of drilling. At times, I can feel the vibration from the drilling. A crack developed although the MRT staff assured me that it is not due to their works. Should I wait for the drilling to be completed in 2016 before commencing my renovation? Just that I am not certain of the renovation cost by then. Oh yes, there will be more construction activities as they are building a shopping and office centre nearby, to be completed in 2016.

Did anyone renovated their EM flat before? If so, what is the cost you incurred? If you are satisfied with the work that was done, would you like to recommend your designer/contractor?
