Z3phy 2 Report post Posted January 9, 2013 HiPersonally , I feel if you have not signed the dotted line you could take your time to make the selection. But congrates on finalising your ID. Looking forward to your renovation pixs.Hey blue77we took a very long time already. almost 2 months. and since we are not in a rush, we did think thru what we want in our contractor. Z3phy 2 Report post Posted January 22, 2013 Hi guys!i'm finally back from HK.. was pretty bz with all the eating and shopping. Anyway, some updates before the picture posting. We made arrangement with the previous owner, X, abt 1 week in advance to go over for measurements.12th Jan 2013 at 10am. booked out contractor too.on 11th Jan 9.45PM, we received a call from the agent, saying they cant make it.after negotiating, they say they try to keep to the original timing but can only confirm by 9am the next day.Of coz i wasnt surprised when there was no phone calls by 9am. we called our agent and he told us they can only make it at 4pm. well, it was too last minute for our contractor. But we still went ahead to take the photos.

Z3phy 2 Report post Posted January 23, 2013 The plan is to convert the 2 toilets into 1.but after visiting the place, we found that the pipes are in undesirable positions =((((thinking how to design the toilet now...
Z3phy 2 Report post Posted January 23, 2013 Here's the plan B. Plan A was to have a long vanity cum sink area between the 2 doors. the shower area behind the toilet bowl. Now we got to switch the sink and the shower area coz of the sickening pipes. =( any idea if this is the best positioning? You will end up with very dirty pipe and you need to constantly clean it

Z3phy 2 Report post Posted January 23, 2013 (edited) Hullo allhere's my quotation from the contractor. seems ok i guess.is it reasonable? Edited January 24, 2013 by Z3phy

For me, it will create more trouble unless there are only two person staying.
texas5 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2013 hi Z3phy,quotation look reasonable in most parts. labour for laying the 5m brick wall looks very cheap. Painting looks cheap too.Capentry cost look scary. Just curious about the theme you are going after , you have cement screed floor + 5m brick wall + $2.5k full height glass showcase all in one living room. is it a modern scandinavian look? any 3d drawings to go by?
