myreno12 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2013 Hi all,My Reno cost is $33k all in (my contractor is Ah Wong from Wai Yee Enterprise, he is the owner, hp:91853583) + $2k plus for flooring laminate (direct from Vohringer, they are quite pro and end result also satisfactory).Floor area of my home about 1250sqft.I use tiles from Soon Bee Huat for my toilets and kitchen and utilities area.Laminate for all cabinets from Lamitak. The finishing exceeded our expectation. Hope the above helps. All the best to your Reno.
chezph 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2013 All my laminate from lamitak too.. I even went down to their main office to collect the laminate in big piece so that I can decide better. Small pieces sometimes cant tell much.
chezph 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2013 Your Reno cost is rather good... Can I know what's the meaning of soft closing for all cabinets ? My Reno is just completed.. For kitchen I upgrade with Blum soft closing.. (it turn out rather tight, as in I need to exert strength to open the drawers) what a disappointment! For my wardrobe, I'm not sure if it comes with "soft closing" .. The drawers just normal drawers and wont close on its own.
jaykr 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2013 (edited) Hi, I didn't see the price for the quotation listed below. Mind telling me how much they charge for your sliding door wardrobe in your master bedroom that.Does it come laminate and abs finish and using solid plywood?Appreciate it. Thanx!quote name='myreno12' timestamp='1357139266' post='775035']Hi All,I have just finished my reno and know the pain of going through rounds of IDs/ contractors for the renovation. I have benefited from many good reviews in this forum. Then again, there isn't much in depth contractors discussion. Since i have used a decent and reliable contractor (good value as well), thus i believe i should at least share within this forum. This also to express my sincere appreciation for a job well done to my contractor (Ah Wong from Wai Yee Enterprise Pte Ltd). Laminated flooring for Master, Dinning and walkway to rooms (500 sqft, using Vohringer floor laminate)2. myreno12 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2013 Hi CHezph,Soft close is makes the cabinet or drawer close slowly. Due to cost constraint my contractor suggest only doing it for kitchen cabinets and drawers. The rest are normal ones. Hi JaykrMy master wardrobe is about $4k. Yes including laminate. As for ABS and solid wood, i don't really know how to differentiate.
