LemonTea 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2007 Marine fishes is not hard to keep but can be of more maintenance comparing to freshwater fishes....as local ecosystem do not have the capability to reproduce the type of minerals they needed it's much more difficult to keep certain kind of fishes and corals. Temperature is also the main issue, anything higher than 30 c most of the fishes will have respiratory problem hence they get sick or die eventually. As for keeping corals it is advisable to get a chiller which will cost quite abit depending on what brand. For newbie can try keeping damsel fishes or clown fishes. Do not keep Angles coz they are not hardy fishes. Anybody interested to take my 4ft tank but cabinet needs recondition thou?

dr evil 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2008 That one looks good. Here are some crazy aquariums I found: http://www.home-designing.com/2008/09/aquariums guys, i am into this marine aquarium business so i might give u some advise on setup etc. The most important factor is the equipment that is running in the system to keep your livestocks alive. There are few types of marine tank FOWLR tank - Fish only with Live Rocks are the easiest to keep. What you need is Tank with proper equipment. Have live rocks for natural filtration and Marine fish Reef Tank - Harder to keep as this involve fishes and corals. U need good lighting system and chiller to cool down the tank Average for a marine tank base on 4ft is @ 8-12k. But marine tank look great in your home
