spikedoll 2 Report post Posted March 16, 2013 20th day of Reno Flooring all done.. Though its Saturday but the workers are still working hard.. ID's assistant whatsapp the progress with pics this morning but we very Kpo and curious so went down to see again. They are really fast. Only part is the carpentry might not be completed for our move in.. It seems there are really shortage of skilled workers and with many projects on hand, the carpenter said he will try his best for us. We also don't want to rush them and compromise on workmanship. Glassworks will be the last part after carpentry.Anyway some pics taken just now to shareCan see the different formation of parquet between bedroom and corridor View from entrance foyer. This is original living room and balcony where we will convert it to relax areaThis is the other side of hall which we have hacked down the bedroom and convert this area into living and dining area. Workers doing the base for kitchen cabinet. It will be a open concept kitchen with glass to prevent grease and smokeSomething like this 3d drawing
spikedoll 2 Report post Posted March 16, 2013 (edited) My kitchen is really small lol We will have full height cabinet in kitchen that block up the access to the toilet. The small yard at the back leading to the toilet will become our laundry yard where we place washer and dryer. The laundry yard will have cabinets as well to keep our detergent and other barang barang. The purpose is to keep the toilet, washer and dryer out of sight in the kitchen. So meaning we need to enter the L1 toilet and laundry yard via balcony only. Hallway to MBR StaircaseThat's all for now.. spikedoll 2 Report post Posted March 19, 2013 No wow effect one lah lol.. 22nd day of RenoMust say that the progress is really fast.. Even the electrician we engaged on our own commented the same. The electrican uncle comes up several times and never rush us for switches and lights to install. In fact he told us no problem even if our lights arrive late.. He will still come again to fix up whatever we still haven't buy. He has few workers working for him and must say they are very professional. Best of all the uncle charge us at a really good rate for rewiring for EM. And using good PSB approved cables. Be careful some electricians using low quality products that can cause problems in later stage.ID ( the boss) is very good at coordination works and his assistant also follow up closely and update us. Carpenters came down to do final measurements for kitchen cabinets and laundry yard yesterday and will do our project first, knowing we need to move in on 2/4. ID's assistant told us today our MBR wardrobe has been completed , next is our kitchen cabinet! Hubby went up just now and saw 8 workers still working very hard, doing patching works etc.. Plumber also came today to do the piping.. Storage heater up.. WC up .. False ceilings also painted! Tomorrow they will start painting the rooms.. And my stainless steel rack has arrived !!! We will have false ceiling in the kitchen as well.
