kooky 2 Report post Posted March 6, 2013 Me too! I Let the tunnel (which you called it fat roots)......LOL runs in the toilets since they are not exposed like the one in the kitchen. We will only do box-up in 2 places to keep low of our budget deficit.

Maybe we are not too used to it coz our current flat are all concealed.. But I guess we will get used to it after sometime haha

But I guess we will get used to it after sometime hahaPick a nice color and paint them! We left a pipe exposed on purpose just so we cld paint it a shade of grey we liked. Would have left all pipes exposed if I could, but ID suggested to box it up so it'll look neater

I ask plumber to minimise the joints that I wanted to box-up. I also personally check the joints for any leakage before proceed with the box-up.

spikedoll 2 Report post Posted March 7, 2013 A silly question to EM owners.. Do you get tired of climbing up and down the stairs ? And do you foresee changing to one level apartment in future? Lol haven't move in already think of these
kooky 2 Report post Posted March 7, 2013 (edited) Currently, I need to climb 2.5 storey daily to get to my bedroom. So far so good and take it as a form of exercise. So moving in to a flat which I owned and it is only double-storey, I feel it should be fine.Whether if I will move out from my flat in future, it depends on my health condition I suppose. Since I have just bought this flat, I double I can retire and have to work my arse off to pay off the housing loan. I hope to stay in employment, I will be health both physically and mentally! spikedoll 2 Report post Posted March 9, 2013 Was in amk central and came across this shop that sell cheap LED lights. According to the lady boss, these are from China. Aunty said " nowadays mostly from china lah.. Even Taiwan products also from china..."Thought of sharing this with fellow RT forumers, not sure if they are the cheapest. I saw these similar lights in Taobao too. Aunty said no GST and challenge us to look around first. They also have shop in Ubi.

Common toiletMBR toilet shower areaSeems like this "hole in the wall" thing in toilets is catching on for most people who are renovating their house... Good idea as can leave out the extra accessories to place your toiletries... Also can do away the risk of your contractor accidentally cracking your tiles while drilling the holes for them...By the way what's your design for your staircase?
