Bad Experience With Rozel Furniture

Just bought a set of Sofa from Rozel. (3+2+1)

The sofa quality is outrageously poor; however the price is premium.

- The leather on the main surface have a lot of scars.

- The stitching was uneven (not straight-line) and badly done on the side of sofa.

- Leather is supposed to be used to cover a visible part of sofa bottom. They save on the leather and use cheap canvas instead. Just imagine you see a black canvas coming out of the sofa bottom while you are standing. (Completely different to the display set they have)

- Right under the adjustable lever of headrest, the canvas was torn.

Gave them a call and provided them the photos through email.

They wanted me to pay $800 to send the sofa back to their Malaysia factory or they can't do anything.

What kind of furniture company is this?

They told me I cannot compare mine to the quality with their display set because all the sofa will have some variation from their assembly :curse:

Unfortunately, I have already made a full payment with my credit card before they deliver the sofa.

Anyone have the same experience?

Did you buy the sofa after the "lemon law" ? If yes, use this to ask for exchange or refund. My friend had the same experience as your but not the same company, she got her sofa exchanged without paying anything.

Which branch of Rozel where you bought your sofa?

You mean they have other branches here?

I was bought into believing that they were very well-established and with the number of branches all over Malaysia.

- That's why I purchased the half-grand sofa from them.

But looks like it was a mistake BIG TIME!

Just search the forum. OMG there are so many complaints about them....

The sofa is 5 thousand bucks.

Rozel Malaysia.... The one at sentosa JB?

You should ask them about their transportation cost as well.

Ask them-> When there is problem with their furniture or sofa, will we replace FOC inclusive of transportation?

Buy from Malaysia, I believe it will be worst. If they do not want to do anything, what can you do?

Rozel Malaysia and Rozel Singapore is entirely different. In Singapore, Rozel is part of the same group as Nova and Xclusive.

I bought my Sofa from Rozel Taman Tun Malaysia few years ago and I am totally give up on their after sales service and attitude recently. Wrote to them3 time, call their stuff Mr. Mok and talk to him about my urgency on such repair but went to deaf ear. Nothing heard after that call, neither email or call.........WTF.....  I will not recommend ANYONE to buy this brand or even consider this brand......Beware. lastly, leather quality is really horrible....BAD EXPERIENCE...........

This is our story. Decide if you still want to buy from them. We bought a sofa set from Rozel Furniture's Toh Guan showroom.

30th Jul - We confirmed our order for sofa, shape and color and asked for delivery. We asked for a delivery date. The salesman said 20th Aug. So we took leave from work to wait.

15th and 16th Aug - We chased the salesman to confirm delivery time for 20th Aug. He said delay, but confirm delivery on the 28th Aug morning. This is after I drove down again to Toh Guan to settle the issue.

19th Aug - Salesman asked sofa facing which side. (We had already confirmed this on 30th Jul!!!)

21st Aug - The salesman say cannot deliver on 28th Aug and want to delay to 3rd Sept. We say cannot, need to have place to sit for our guests for a 1-month-birth party on 28th Aug. We requested refund of deposit.

23rd Aug - The salesman promised to t-loan L-shape sofa while waiting for our order. We said as long as not black color and similar dimensions is ok. He promised this t-loan sofa to be delivered on 27th Aug.

27th Aug (Today) - Nobody deliver today, so we called the salesman. He arranged delivery immediately. We had to rush to our new house within 30min to receive it after Rozel delivery man called us. Instead of L-sofa, we got 3 seater. We had said sofa cannot be black as it is inauspicious for our celebration, but Rozel delivered black sofa irregardless. WOW!

I think we will never get our sofa and there will be more problems down the road. I will update...(perhaps need to go small claims court settle)

IMM opposite Singapore

Dishonest company, likewise is the same boss as Novena! We bought my wedding bed, missed the delivery date yet got the cheek to tell us delay, and drag till 2nd months, and don't know who am i? I called them up, fcuk them hard, then suddenly bed come.
Now i go to the Rozel, never knew that the same company from Novena after purchase the cupboard.
Cupboard is for my parents as they are old person age 73years old.

Suppose delivery to come today but called me up by a office woman say delivery delay!
Again same issue and problems,

But we pay full prices.

I gave a thought of myself, two answer!
1. Maybe they wash black money, meaning the sales person take the people money and used first, then delay the people until next big fish come. Is like use first then delivery later.

2. MYbe The both shop is for beauty show only. Meaning maybe they actually do not have any products. They just used the display item to send us after being complaint. Suspect only.

3. Is it impossible for the same boss from two different company name do the same pattern!
Delay on the delivery, something must be wrong.

Note:
(under section 4xx of the Penal Code, which targets cheating by intentional or dishonest inducement of the delivery).

To everyone, if you all have been cheated, need to report to the police straight and do not give chance.
