Makanology 29 Report post Posted February 12, 2013 Haha same taste! We have shortlisted the 2nd TB link as it is so vintage! Take this instead of the Ikea one, more character! Then on each side, hang the cagey bulbs from the 1st TB link.
summersann 6 Report post Posted February 13, 2013 haha we totally like the same type of lights! I love the red cage light. It's gorgeous!!I got my dining table pendant lights from Roccoco Kent, so it's vintage. But Wonderland (which you already took a picture of) sells the shades! Not vintage, looks brand new, but is very pretty too! And much cheaper (should have just gotten mine from them ).

retchlow 7 Report post Posted February 13, 2013 (edited) I bought 3 of these red cage lights for the kitchen. Really adore them Am considering to move them to above dining table, or hang it in my walk in wardrobe area, where I plan to have cement-screed like wardrobe laminate, this red beauty can add on to the industrial feel. VERY SWEE! Edited February 13, 2013 by retchlow

bleucheeze 1 Report post Posted February 13, 2013 (edited) Thanks Vanessa and Retch! I may have an extra one of this red caged light which I wanna sell, anyone interested? Edited February 13, 2013 by bleucheeze
Makanology 29 Report post Posted February 13, 2013 Will these go well side by side? One or two caged pendant each on the left and right side of the green pendant... Note that the caged one is much smaller than the green pendant.Much smaller as in? Do you have the rough measurements or diameter? Then easier to calculate and figure out if 1 or 2 caged bulbs for each side of the green vintage one?

bleucheeze 1 Report post Posted February 13, 2013 (edited) Did a simple photo editing to put these together. Note that it's not in proportion...The green lamp is 25cm in diameter, 20cm in height. Based on what I found online, the caged lamp is about 10cm diameter (when closed) and 17cm tall, but this may not be representative of all similar lights. Will these go well together above my pencil leg dining table? Alternatively, as what summersann suggested to group similar-shaped lamps together, should i just go for 2 green lamps above the dining table? Btw, anyone here knows how the PM inbox works? After I deleted numerous PM (just individual pm, not entire thread), my inbox is still 95% full

Will fix recessed downlight on kitchen ceiling, and may add light below top cabinet. The red cage is more for "deco". Hehe.

After I deleted numerous PM (just individual pm, not entire thread), my inbox is still 95% full Heh, I'm going to throw another idea in here, don't hate me. I actually think the flower shades from Wonderland would be a much better choice for your dining table! It'd give a very vintage feel (only if that's what you're going for) and would look really classy.Otherwise, I vote for the caged lights! Just curious, have you seen the actual ikea pendant green light in person?
