Babydaisy 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2012 Hi all,I'm facing two choice : 1. L box false ceiling where I can install ceiling fan2. False ceiling with a S shape curve that cannot install ceiling fan Choice 2 add a lot of modern feel to my reno theme n I'm thinking of buying a Vornado or Ifan Fan in place of the ceiling fan. But such fan seem to be much less practical than ceiling fan..Anyone can share experience if u have Choice 1 or 2 for ur house?

Babydaisy 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2012 Suyun, is Dyson fan a standing fan? does it consume more energy than a normal ceiling fan?Anyway, I wonder if a S curve ceiling really look nice on a small living room? Maybe L box could make the living room look more spacious.. Anyone has pic of a curve false ceiling to share? Thanks!
dododo 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2012 If u edy having a false ceiling, adding a ceiling fan will even make ur living room ceiling seems shorter... n doesnt look so nice either

angmoh 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2012 I have been to houses with and without ceiling fans.ceiling fans will increase the ventilation, although you might not really feel the wind, but at least you wont feel stuffy. Without ceiling fan, you really need to on the aircon or get a standing fan. I saw bad remarks on Dyson fans. http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=52338&st=0&p=744628&hl=dyson&fromsearch=1entry744628My flat which is currently under reno, will have 6 ceiling fans. 4 in bedrooms and 2 in study and living room respectively... dododo 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2012 L box false ceiling is enough Yep.. L box or cove lights false ceiling is nice as it is Suggest to get:1) Slim & modern looking tower fan and/or2) Aircond
Pesadelo 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2012 Ceiling fans yeah,,, do not actually provide good wind to you unless you're under the fan, it's more for circulation. ON a hot day, still crawl back to bedroom to switch on a/c. My suggestion is ceiling fan still and get another nice tower fan.I'd go for Option 1. Mainly it's cheaper. The most practical is wall fans.. Ugly but serves it's purpose best.

Babydaisy 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2012 Guess what, my ID actually thought of an ingenius idea that really impressed us! He made a S curve but bend it in such a way that can accommodate a ceiling fan nicely! My false ceiling is done now and with all the lightings, the effect is really superb! Mikemac 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2012 Can it really hold the weight?
Babydaisy 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2012 The fan is installed on the ceiling.. Not a false ceiling.. So it can hold the weight
