The Search For Id Services

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I've been getting quotations around from a few ID firms recently for my new house in Punggol area, as usual some of them gotten back to me and some did not. Its sad that I don't have friends or relatives that does renovation works :bangwall: If I does, I'd probably won't have so much of a headache to search for the correct ID services. My wifey and I were contemplating on what kind of design we should be looking at and to compare the proposal done up by the ID. Gonna confirm one of the ID soon this coming week.

Went to * interior as our first few stops.. wasn't a very good experience and still did not email to me (Looked for them like 2 weeks before I've posted this post).

Afew days later we've tried ChewDesign, I admit that I nearly signed up with them as they are very polite to me and their professionalism is :good:, gotten me a quote on the spot and planned a space planning for me. It is different from what I've read here in renotalk about the snobbish behavior of the sales person. However, their pricing is pretty high... its slightly above the budget . Still taken into consideration though.. no choice but to do lesser items..

While walking along balestier road, already started sourcing our lightings around there (Hahaha I know we are **** kiasu right) we saw D'trenzo opposite of us and luckily we've brought our floor plan along with us! Mai tu liao! Me and my wifey crossed the road and was served by a handsome guy. He explains to us how is he going to plan our house, and showed us some samples in the showroom like what we've been through in ChewDesign. Im quite impressed by him, but my wifey wasn't really happy with his attitude because he kept pulling a long face. Haiyo.

Yesterday, I've went over to my new place to have a look at the surroundings even though I did not receive my keys yet. Once we got off from our cars, I was approached by an uncle. He passed me a brochure on regarding his renovation package but I wasn't really interested in him as he seemed very old fashion from the way he dressed. (Oh I've always people who dresses up well reflects well on designs too). While on my way to the lift getting to the ground level, afew of the contractors got to me and even mentioned that they have showflats ready to view. They've brought us to the forth floor of the unit, the house was done up by homemaker but i've forgotten who is the person that was serving us... anyway to cut short, the house is relatively okay.. but not to our liking though. They have overlay the toilets wall tiles too which is interesting to see.

Saw young chap walking towards us and politely introduced himself. Not bad for a young guy. I've asked him if he has a showflat around the area and was told that one of the unit done up by his colleague will be ready by next week but don't expect much of a design though as nothing much has been done up but at the very least I can get to see the workmanship. Brought me up to a on going four room flat at the second level, the home owner actually hacked off the living room ceramic tiles and kitchen tiles. Laid with homogenous floor tiles at kitchen, living area and bathrooms. I like the overlaying of the toilet floor tiles as it does not have shower kerbs in it! I hate kerbs! This young guy seems experience and was explaining all the way he could send me afew 3D drawings as references and will send us quotation as soon as possible. My wifey and I have positive feelings about this young lad and as im typing this my wife has been discussing about him non stop and been checking her email. -_-.. gonna have a hard time sleeping as both of us are so excited about getting our new home!

Good afternoon people.. Such a tiring week. I have received pms for recommendations. Thank you people, more or less i've made up our mind. Although it is not the cheapest but still considered reasonable . After seeing the houses he has done up for people. His customers are all very respectful of him.

Hopefully this will be a good experience for us even though there is people pming me to be wary of this company. Sometimes , it makes me wonder where is the negative comment coming from. Every company are sure to have complaints.

I will post more soon !

Beware when u look for ID.

Some of the ID are equivalent to contractors.

Think twice when those ID tried to match your budget.

Most impt, look for ID / contract who can communicate with you and not over promise things.
