Advise: Hdb Bathroom Bi-Fold Door & Stainless Steel Pipes

Bi fold-door:

we're decided to go with the standard 2-panel bi fold door for our bathroom fitting & had initially selected a silver aluminium frame. However on inspection, we realised a white-powdered coated door frame was installed instead..While my ID 'reluctantly admitted' to the error, he also reasoned that the white powdered coated door frame was more 'sturdy/solid' than the standard silver one.

Is this true?...Sounds a little dubious a coat of paint adds stability to a door frame?

Stainless steel water pipes

should we have these painted as an 'added protection' agst corrosion from exposure to water? Was told hardly anyone paints stainless steel pipes only copper ones?

What's the process if we would like to paint stainless steel pipes - understand a primer needs to be applied 1st?
