Holes In Plastered Ceiling

Hi,

Just bought an HDB flat and today, I found that there are some popping areas on my ceiling. I itchy fingers go n poke at the areas and realized it is the plaster that is popping.

However, I created 2 big holes during my poking!!

Any expert knows how to repair this DIY or any cheap n good recommendations of expert to repair the holes?

hi ommph,

even if you did not poke it, it is a matter of time before it falls.

plastered ceiling will delaminated from the concrete base over time.

we had the sample problem in a different situation. the ceiling plaster was coming off.

we hired a contractor who

1. removed all the ceiling plaster, including those that did not delaminate

2. patch any holes with non shrink grout

3. repainted.
