multi888 1 Report post Posted October 1, 2012 We got to know what kind of stain is that? Maybe you can ask the contractor to do a acid wash after your Reno?

limbj 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2012 Thanks all, current 4 room flat is not well maintained due to renting out to 3 tenants. Saw your blog posting, congrats to your childhood dream coming true:pMy initial plan is to redo the 2 toilets completely+kitchen cabinet and tilings, minor electrical works, acid wash, repainting etc. Idea is to budget and reuse existing fixtures as possible.I guess a budget cost between 10k to 15k should be reasonable. Thanks for some comments. Yes I will get a few contractors to estimate the quote soon. No need an ID I suppose as I do not need a personal customisation.Just a common simple design. musicbox 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2012 Hi,are u the one email me on my blog? I'm glad that it provides information to you.Regarding the stain in your pic, I doubt it can be cleaned as it seemed some sort of chemical stain which damaged the tiles e.g. bleach. U can either change it or put a carpet to cover it.

limbj 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2012 (edited) wow thats kinda fast, my progress seems slow. Anyway did you check during weekends if they got do any small work?Hi Remy, Thks for visiting. I learn alot from Renotalk. I engage a contractor and he has his own friends do hacking and his own Msian tilers and granite stove. First day the hacking is done, followed by cementing etc. Yes hes fast say ard 2 to 3 weeks to complete. He follows HDB rule, Sunday off to avoid neighbours complaining noise although no hacking. Saturday is full day working:p Have u bought your toliet and kitchen wares etc I just saw your blog, u are hacking the whole house of course slower as I only kitchen and 2 bathrooms. For yours your workers do the floor bases first as mine is starting the wall first. Also no electrical rewiring for me. I've yet to check the works for yesterday plus not sure if there's any minor works done yesterday. Furthermore my time frame is kinda short also. Hopefully everything will be done up asap. Its total overhaul for everything. Bought most of my stuff already but there's some errors. Probably i bought in a rush. Not sure if the rain shower will affect the height due to the pipings in my common room toilet. As for lightings i might get the wrong designs as well cos ID only bring me to 1 lighting shop. Didn't bring me to balestier see see look look.

Yes the more rush u have the more errors and prcier. As I just need basic renovation, no design in place just my ideas here and there. Probably u need to move in soon,I guess a 3 room flat need 3 to 4 weeks at least for complete reno. U have to be ard to make sure they do what u expect or u can trust the ID. No experience with rainshower as I didnt use it and not installing. Your stuffs bought is place inside the new house? Not sure this will obstruct the works. So far hope u satisfied with our ID. I do not know about lightings at first but after read Renotalk and walk along Jalan Besar, I know there are shops like Lightings.com etc. Also - sell those ceiliing energy saving lights those rectangular squarish one like each ard 36W very bright than those round types 22,32,40W.
