With groove is nicer though, as they gave it the authentic wood plank look otherwise it looks like those cheap vinyl floors.

No groove; the area will look bigger.

Better still, use natural timber.

V groove also help to eliminate the slight difference in height when the planks swell.

That was the consideration for me when I selected laminate flooring for myself.
