summersann 6 Report post Posted February 26, 2013 Your house is so pretty!Thank you! Agreed. Want to see more pictures when the furniture's all unwrapped!I can't wait to unwrap stuff and start arranging them either Hi summersann, your house are beautiful! Notice that your house uses a lot of track light, are they LED?By the way, can advice what is the depth of the storage under staircase area? Thanx in advance!Yup, the track lights are LED. The depth of the storage under the stairs... eh... we don't actually know, but they're almost (if not completely) the depth of the stairs itself to maximize storage. Hope that helps! Swee!! Where you bought the track lights and how much? TIA!! Got our lights from i-Lite (Jalan Besar). Not sure if they offer the best deals around because we didn't research on lights and just followed the ID. The tracks are $25 for 2 meter, and $40 for 3 meter. The light holders+LED lights are $85 each.

razzberrie 3 Report post Posted February 26, 2013 Just curious, why did you choose to partition your bedroom with the study on the inside farther away from the door, rather than the bed? I would think the sleeping area is a more private place that would be nice away from the door.
summersann 6 Report post Posted February 27, 2013 (edited) Just curious, why did you choose to partition your bedroom with the study on the inside farther away from the door, rather than the bed? I would think the sleeping area is a more private place that would be nice away from the door.We installed a panel of windows in that room, so we didn't want our bedroom to be there for multiple reasons (privacy, wanted the study/lounge to be brighter and airy, having the bedroom and wardrobe together, more space for the study/lounge). anyway, the door to our room is actually considered kinda in the middle of both rooms because we relocated the door, so there's a small "entrance" area before it's our bed. And the beauty of maisonettes is that the 2nd floor is already pretty private anyway! Edited February 28, 2013 by summersann
razzberrie 3 Report post Posted February 27, 2013 Good point about the 2nd floor. I completely forgot! Thanks for the reply.
summersann 6 Report post Posted March 2, 2013 (edited) Finally ordered our laundry system yesterday! After much consideration, we decided to go with the EZ Lift 4. It's more cumbersome to pull up and down, but lighter and safer. EZ Hi-Dry was something we were also interested in, but found it too bulky and not as user-friendly. Tames' version of the Hi-Dry was much lighter, but didn't feel as durable. Handover on 8 march! *fingers crossed* Edited March 2, 2013 by summersann

summersann 6 Report post Posted March 4, 2013 (edited) Finally bought a speaker dock for the new home! We've been looking at the Bose sound dock, but somehow keep missing the sale period. Went to Courts Megastore at Tampines and saw it on sale, but they were out of stock (service at Courts Tampines is seriously bad, by the way -_-). Thank goodness we didn't get the Bose system, because we came across the Philips dock at Courts Toa Payoh over the weekend (they were having a massive clearance sale). Of course, you can't really compare Philips to Bose, but for the price and functionality, the Philips dock was pretty good (Bose's sound dock only supports the iPhone, while the Philips dock plays FM, CD, MP3, iPhone, iPad)! The Philips dock wasn't on sale, but we tested it and it was pretty good! Powerful bass, which is what we're looking for. Managed to get someone to get it for us direct from Philips, so we got a further discount!Yay for savings! Edited March 4, 2013 by summersann
