jojorock 1 Report post Posted September 25, 2012 (edited) my aircon still working very fine, thought of servicing it only. but the cover casing has turned yellow.... thinking of changing the casing, but not sure if available, or at least "bleech it". anybody done that? hammerhammer 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2012 No need respray. That time I call gain city to do chemical cleaning of my air con they use the chemical to clean my cover and become like new. Cos I smoke in the room and the tar turn the air con cover into yellowish. So you want when doing chemical cleaning ask them clean the cover. If not can also try those DIY chemical cleaning kit from home fix. But dunno will remove the stains cos the chemical in those DIY kit is quite dilute. Those use by gain city very strong. RooRoo 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2012 U might like to try using toothpaste.. it might work.I replaced my ceiling lights and added a ceiling fan recently, resulting in some very awful marks left behind by the old lights. I've tried using detergent, thinner, etc. and none of these products could remove the black marks and yellowish stains. I recalled people mentioning about using toothpaste to remove stains and sacrificed half a tube of my Colgate Whitening. I've successfully removed EVERY single mark and stain.
