SeirenGrey 1 Report post Posted January 31, 2013 (edited) Thought of getting a Kraus sink via Amazon.com, after being tempted by some of the forumers here... but decided not to, due to budget constraints. Hoping to get something similar though! Will need to get taps and other fittings too, time to start shopping at Taobao! wowach 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2013 Was agonising over heaters last night, because I prefer using instant heater (lesser pipes) but I really want a rain shower... I don't like storage tanks because they take quite awhile to heat up which is a pain because I wake up late every morning - no time to wait for hot water! Then there's citygas heaters but I don't like to see so many pipes running up the wall... I'm very 'ti-ki', I know. hahaAnd after some intensive googling, I found a great solution!Alpha Smart 18 instant heater that comes with a rainshower set. Realised my spa place uses this heater too, so I know it's good, lol! Have been using them all the while but didn't look at the brand. Note to self to get this when buying toilet stuff this weekend! Wonder if you found a good place to buy this? Wanna buy this for my main bathroom too!

SeirenGrey 1 Report post Posted February 3, 2013 Wonder if you found a good place to buy this? Wanna buy this for my main bathroom too!Just so you know, it's $340 from Lite Fusion for the rainshower set. If normal shower head, $280.
SeirenGrey 1 Report post Posted February 4, 2013 The husband was out of town on Saturday so I went window shopping! Brought catalogues, brochures and whatnot home, to do "homework".My first stop was Lite Fusion (reviews not bad) because it was walking distance from my house, lol. The guy there (Nick I think) was not hard-selling at all, made good recommendations and was really friendly! Likely getting a mirror cabinet for my common bathroom!Taps, sinks, misc. The price was quite competitive (I guess, haven't been to other shops). Other than bathroom accessories, they also sell Rinnai, Fujioh, EF hob/hood packages, ceiling fans (which I most probably will be getting from them), kitchen sinks, lights (limited range but ok if you're only getting simple stuff like downlights). The kitchen sinks were VERY cheap (imo lah)... Nick recommended Elkay and Monic for kitchen sinks.Oh and I fell in love with this. I got the same thing from the bathroom accessories shop my ID brought me to on Sunday.Went to Robinsons at Raffles City Shopping Centre after that to look at mattresses, but I'm still not sure whether I should set aside a little more budget for a Simmons/Sealy mattress, so it was pretty much inconclusive.Spotted something pretty for decor though! SeirenGrey 1 Report post Posted February 4, 2013 Oh, I also went to Harvey Norman at Millenia Walk to look at appliances. Generally the salespeople were pretty nice! I'm pretty interested in this particular 7kg Electrolux washer. Then I went to Commune, on the same floor, to look at furniture. OMG gorgeous!
Makanology 29 Report post Posted February 4, 2013 The dining table is so gorgeous! And so is the price tag heehee. I must be too attuned with the prices on TB. Are you getting anything from Commune?
