RemyLebeau 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2012 I'm relatively new to the area, been living across the bridge all these while..Just shifted to Potong Pasir as it's near to my parents. How come you never purchase flat at Potong Pasir? They are rarely being sold though.wanted to but back than not much choices and COV was freeking steep. Furthemore it doesn't meet my budget so i have to forgo PP. I choose hougang is becos i'm very familiar with that area and been staying there for ard 13 yrs. Btw does your block got gas piping or have to use gas cylinder?
HaiDeChen 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2012 icic..ya..the COV here is ridiculous! mine was one of the lowest...loli'm using induction, so not sure if there is gas piping..but i think have..coz the previous owner don't have gas..then again..the previous owner don;t have anything! RemyLebeau 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2012 cool, wanted to change to induction as well but since my mum sometimes like to stir fry, i have to forgo that. Btw ur theme is industrial theme?
HaiDeChen 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2012 hmm...Stirfry cannot use induction? My theme? not really going for full industrial, more of having a very raw feel in terms of materials (i guess that is industrial to a certain extent). Will be softening up the house with colourful fabrics, sofa and furniture..and possibly some art prints i bought...except all those are rather dark in colour and theme as well..Was not really going in a very strict direction in terms of my decor...just general feelings about what i love to have and see...am still keeping my fingers crossed and hoping it all turns out well. RemyLebeau 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2012 thats what i've read regarding bout induction. Even if it allows you to do so, the taste would be different hahaha...Furthemore all the cookware had to change. Mayb in near future it will replace all the existing gas etc etc.. HaiDeChen 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2012 icic....but if your mum or you are going to cook often, induction not the way to do..since most HDBs (old ones) can only supply enuff electricity for 2 cooking hobs.
HaiDeChen 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2012 building of false ceiling and running of electrical wires should be done by this week...contractor has gone for a holiday with his family..so general renovation things will be left alone for 1 week. oh well... Rover 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2012 ya....hmm...i will see how the contractor does it lor...If I'm not wrong, normally they'll dig up a small 'tunnel' for the pipes to run on the floor, then covered wif the tiles, ie concealed underneath.
