Thanks!! :yamseng:

I just got quotation from contractor and *****.

How many cost roughly for this renovation :

1. Kitchen + 2 bathroom (my HDB is 8 years old so didnt need ceiling, plumbing)

2. Put white brick in the living room as wall feature. I plan to do like this :

They said that renovation cost for the wall brick is about 2600. How about that, is that too high or not?

Thanks

Have you considered using wall paper to create that similar brickwall effect ? For your kitchen n 2 bathrooms, are you planning to overhaul everything ?

hi lilychang we have the same layout remember :)? i also thought can save on the plumbing since the house is not that old. but i was told that if overhaul kitchen & bathrooms, the plumbing need to redo eventhough no change on the location of water outlet points.

Hi speed and bb1314,

i plan to :

-overhaul all kitchen and bathrooms

-make wardrobe in master bedroom

-put mirror in dining room

-make wall feature for culture stone effect

i already bought furniture from executive living about 11K include sofa, tv console, dining table and 2 bed

And already got quotation from o.r.a.n,g,e,c,u,b,e : 35K. Is it too expensive or not? Because we didnt do ceiling or changin floor

Hi lily,

brick work feature wall is not that expensive.

if you hunt deep enough here you can get cheaper rates from these "designer" contractors.

top and bottom cabinets go form 180-240 per foot run

soild surface prob 60-80 per foot run

what kind of tiles are you doing up your toilet? 35k sounds like a marble cladded toilet :D

hope your renovation goes well :)

Yes. More or less confirm the ID. I'll be doing slightly more including whole house flooring n ceiling, cabinet at window recess, shoe cabinet, feature wall at bomb shelter, mbr wardrobe, tv feature+console. Carpentry is expensive... Quotations around 50k.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. We just got our key today. My final quaotation is around 25 K include wardrobe in mbr, tv console, fixing the palette in living room. Maybe start reno in this friday. The renovation will have one month time. How about you> Have you start your reno? I think 50K is already inclusive the flooring and ceiling, so its OK
