ehspro 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2012 SWING GATE OR SLIDING GATE After much consideration and budget constraint. we decided to keep the present swing gate and change the swing gate system. To share with fellow forummers who are looking into this, i done some homework on my part.Quotation from well know gate company and similar competitor for Malaysian Made Motors such as RANGER is prized about $1800 even $1950 with sensor, italian brand FAAC swing arm cost $2500 to 3000, FAAC slide motor cost 2180 with sensorbut if you get from the distributors directly it will cost you from $1000 t0 1300. Brands from Ranger, DORMA, GOOD1 with warranty of up to 18months and one to one exchangethat is a savings of at least $500 with no gst as well.Hope i can find more good deals to save money $$$ Hi SuyunCan you PM me your gate supplier? If extisting one don't have, would the pipings be complicated? The plumber will run everything for you. Its not complicated. I like heater tank better because the water pressure is better, you get a better shower. Once you try it, you wont go back to instant heater. You want I can pm you a company that does plumbling, electrical and aircon. They are very pro and not expensive. Except got gst.

Suyun 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2012 Day 3, 12 September 2012Nasty surprise awaits me after we removed the door frame from utility wall The wood is rotting from inside, take another look Take a look on the right wall, it's the wall of the ultity room The wall of utility room will be partially hacked away to make way for a service counter.the hacking of the kitchen, the maid room is completed, toilets are ongoing and should be completed by tommorrow. The car pouch , walkways and wet kitchen will start soon. I Can't wait to see more progress
Suyun 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2012 Day 4 13th September 2012 Hacking continue, nothing much was happening so I skipped posting yesterday. But being at the house inspires me design ideas for this house. Which I will share in future. Day 5 14 September 2012 PEST CONTROL CHECKRemember that photo I posters yesterday, according to the nice gentleman from Rentokil, that was a termite trail. The termites are no longer active in this house, but they did leave a little hint of their presence. I am just so grateful those insects have moved on.The ground and roof treatment will start end of next week after we finish hacking and clearing the debris. We removed part of the kitchen wall to create more space a better airflow. Noticed the staircase parquet had been removed? We are going to tile it. Another look at the staircase before the parquet were removed. It is simply beautiful. We had to change the wood as most of them had chipped off and too costly to repair. Retiling them is a more practical long term solution.
