Jumbopanther, Just renovation, no A and A for this round. The house is big enought for our whole family.

changing all the aircons and relaying all the conceal trunkings and water pipes.

Redoing all the five toilets, wet and dry kitchen, relaying all the tiles front yard and side walkway, tiling the staircases,

New water pressure tank at roof top

Replacing some of the windows and all the toilet doors, classic doors and door frames , gate and side fence,

Repainting the whole building with scaffolding. Waterproofing works too.

Anti termite treatment and roof too.

TV console, kitchen, waldrobe etc

Special feature wall : a service counter, this is a concept I hope to build in to that utility room that my hubby removed for the house.

Walls are hacked to create a path for the trunking

Hi Suyun, reason I asked whether you are doing A&A or reno is for you to note: for A&A, you usually have a PE to advise you, but for renovation, no PE, so in the course of renovation, have to remind the contractors to be careful not to hack any columns or beams without a PE's approval. It's for your own safety to have a 'safe' house.

YES JUMBOPANTHER , my contractor was kind enought to check with the PE before we hacked the utility room wall. I will check again on the rest on the rest of the areas. Thanks for pointing this out.

I think it looks neat. Good job so far. :good:

Hi, just kaypoh a bit, from the photo, notice you have a bib tap beside the WC right? If you are sitting on the WC, the bib tap appears to be on your left side. You are aware, are't you?

Some people prefer to be on the right side, some on the left, some place it on the right because they are right-hander.....depends on your own preference. No right no wrong.

Whatever it is, if need to change any conceal works, do it before the contractor conceals the pipe with cement plaster and tiles. Otherwise, there will be abortive works.

Dude, that tap is for washing the toilet, not for washing... Ahem. So does it matter on the right or left? :sport-smiley-018:

It depends on user, some user use it to wash 'ahem', some use it for washing toilet in general, some use it for both purpose, like me.

As I said no right and no wrong, depends on user preference, just that the owner or user need to be aware and not caught by surprise. I have heared of cases that owner only knows the bib tap is not located at their preferred side only when the bib tap is installed. By then too late already, tiles already up. To hack and change, cost time and $.
