Mullane86 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2012 maybe wood and white?or (the standard most likely will not go wrong) black and white?if you are a little more daring, how bout lime green and white?or blue would be nice too..Hi Alisa, yes my first idea was lime green and white. But when my friends heard Lime Green, they said this: 'So Melayu'. (Greens are associated with Malays because of the colour of Ketupat.)I didn't want black and white. Hmmm.. Cause I wanted my kitchen to look bigger, brighter and more spacious. With Black, it will make my kitchen smaller.Anyways, I will reveal the colours I picked in the next post. Stay tune! onions2hot 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2012 I did try to talk to a HDB officer abt orphan buying the house, they told me maybe I can get another orphan to rent or buy from them.Or else too bad I can only buy resale flat. I think this is quite unfair for those orphans,it not that we buy a new flat and earn money, then go back and stay with the parents. We also Singaporean but only without parents...I nearly tears that time when I ask them abt the orphan scheme. I should have known u earlier to use this way to apply for a new flat, I believe I can see the rainbow soon..I juz bought a new place at tampines. I immediately search for a place when I reach 35! Will be going for the 1st appointment next mth,if loan approve, can get the flat in NOV( keep my fingers cross). U r so smart to email PM Lee for help! congratulation for a new chapter of your life. Hi Onions2hot,I understand how you feel. It sucks not having a stable roof over the head. Already no parents, then still have to keep moving every few years. But heads up! You are a stronger person now with a home on the way.So happy for you. I registered for an account under Renotalk so I can help other orphans who might be in the same dilemma as me.Hoping to see photos of your new place soon! You must be very excited!
