triton 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2012 Hello all reno talk member, i have been quietly following many of fellow member blog. I thank renotalk member for providing so many information . Together we can share many info and help each other. I have been quite slow in doing starting Reno. It is only the last few month that I started to research. Mostly from the web. But there are so many things. There are a fews main concerns for my main Reno. Fengshui - Checking it will match all the occupier Ba zi and prevent leakage of money.Child safety - my elder boy is turning 4 this year and the second dragon girl just arrived 1 month go.Practical - 2 kids and my wife will cook most probably . The most headache part is fengshui. Sometime fengshui is not practical. Wallet - without any prior knowledge on Reno, every Id seem so nice in talking. So difficult to choose one. Price also vary too much. Time - due to my working hour, new born baby and 4 yr old kid, ( ps my wife is still in confirment) I am the only person to do all the running. Luckily we have selected our Id designer. So it will be the start. Hope Everything turn out well. This is my floor plan

sccy2 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2012 Hi, welcome to renotalk and punggol community. So which part of punggol? We didn't have extra $$ to consult feng shui master so our sil/bil have sort of given us some feng shui advice they have learnt. Like our house entrance once open the door will directly see our living room window & balcony - so we have do roller blinds (both side of the windows - blinds always down except the center one is up) and put a plant (can't remember the english name of that plant) at the windows and near the balcony (you can see one of my pic at my blog) - is told that it will prevent the 'cai' (wealth) being flow out of our house. as for kitchen..as long as the cooking stove don't face the toilet or opposite the washing sink will do.Hope you have a smooth renovation - hope to c your reno pics

triton 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2012 Just realized that my fridge is directly which opposite the sink. Either you can open the fridge or can wash the plate . The fridge might' be blocking the service yard door.

Hope it get better .. do you have the same problem as I have ?I'm on 168D, so i don't have that issue. Probably will get some noise if the CC below have major functions?Btw my kitchen layout is almost like your 1st kitchen layout. I tried very hard to not have the stove directly facing the sink, but only manage to slightly misaligned them due to space constraint. You know lah our kitchen is only this 'big'. The fridge might' be blocking the service yard door. Hi triton, maybe you can check wif yr ID whether the service yard door can be adjusted that it is open from the service yard instead from the kitchen..becos i know 1 of my neighbour in my estate does that (dunno how to describe correctly - hope u understand wat i mean) i noticed at my estate some of the neighbours due to limited kitchen space - in the end they actually hack away the service yard two walls & the door to extend their kitchen space..so that the fridge and washing machine is at the service yard..(maybe you can check wif yr ID n feng shui master whether this is ok).
