I am trying to find out the cost of getting the bricks from JB with the email you gave me earlier. But I think we need 16 cartons! And that works out to 350kg! I have a JB residential address for them to deliver to but it would take many, many trips for me to bring them back to Singapore. Our car can't take that weight all at once!

nope, not mounting tv. i think it can be considered a feature wall? but i do realise a brick wall tend to make a space look smaller.

Hmmm your brick wall is light colored. We are looking at a darker one for full wall at the dining area... I think it will make our dining area look petite :P

TIRED TIRED TIRED :o

Plumber installed some of my bathroom stuff today.

BOO-BOO : hollow block should have been constructed on this side & water heater could have been installed on the opposite. no choice. had to live with this mistake. heater is right next to window so have to keep window closed at all times!

My Otto WC. The worker helped me to do an official opening for the WC. spotted yellow wee wee stains on the seat :furious:

Told Alan to remind them not to use my WC & they have helped to wrap it up.

My Grohe Bidet Spray!

Note: Other than the unpleasant experience with the pee, the workers are very experienced. They gave really good suggestions on the placement of the wash basin (something which my contractor didn't even advise :bangwall: ) My advice is : It's always best to speak to the installers directly.

Red bricks so nice right! Gives the old barn look and we manage to source the right lights for it. Today at An Huat, we saw this Korean old antique bricks which the salesman 'swears' that this is the real deal. Each piece is around 150 years old and has some living organism in it. These tiles 'breathe' and can help those who have asthma etc. when cold, keeps the heat in so he says for Singapore, when hot, will cool the place. Sounds like a miracle?

Anyways he said craftbricks cost $6.50 per square foot while the Korean real deal cost $7 per square foot, just $0.50 more for all the benefits (eyes rolling)...

Anyways we are cracking our head over the delivery & customs. Think if 2-3 cartons at a go should be ok. But we need to do 5-6 trips to JB so 5-6 weekends! Alan has quoted $1500 + $1800 (1st for dining area and 2nd for living room. Think he quoted for full walls but we intend to do scattered bricks for living room.

Mine was not installed yet..still in the hacking process....

Hmmm flush weak ah...im not sure if it's due to the level of floor you are staying? Meaning the pressure of water flow? :dunno:

There's a 10 yr warranty for the WC..but i cannot remember if it covers the flushing system...something like perhaps the internal flushing system spoilt....neeed to chk on that...

Agree w u too! Communication w them is v impt! We were talking to one of the tilers today and he spoke to us and he was showing us a nicer way to lay our mosaics, we choose ur same toilet mosaic and the full plain white ones to mix and we didnt even realise that the 2 mosaics were of a different shade of white coz it didnt show up in the showroom. If he hadn't show us, we wouldnt have realise and wont be in time to make rectifications.

Can i ask how much was the stool? U rmb if u've seen any turquoise coloured ones there?
