wowach 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2012 New to the forum. Can I find out what is the cost I'm looking at if I wanna do a raised platform area at my dining area? I'm looking at laminates. Is it permissible by HDB? What is the cost I should be budgeting for?

May_dream1 14 Report post Posted August 6, 2012 Take note whether the platform is near any windows. The platform cannot be less than 1m from top of platform to window sill. If the platform is not against windows, then no limit (although recommended in hdb website is 2.4m to the ceiling)

And yes it's beside a corridor window. Which portion is the sill?Any indicative cost? On a tight budget.. Will drop the idea if it's prohibitively expensive. Just a visual example- http://moddesigninspiration.blogspot.sg/2012/01/japanese-minimalism.html?m=1I don't mind using cheaper materials and a laminate! With laminates same as my flooring. Price ranges 750 to 900.Dunno if it helps. But according to your picture, it sort of look similar.
