Still on the subject of kitchen countertops, so far, I've only come across Kompacplus in the forums.

Anyone knows of any others and where I can get them from ?

Saw there are few threads talking about this brand ... you may take a look.

I am also keen of using this material as our kitchen top to have the feeling of wood, but husband concern is whether it can resist hard knocks especially when we want to chop the chicken etc. The thickness is about 6mm thick .. not sure if it is good enough. The website mentioned can follow their youtube channel for the video clips on resistance to hard knocks but I cannot find it in the youtube channel.
