Hi hi, how did u manage to get HDB approval for condenser to be installed outside? I was told its not allowed. Thanks!

My aircon installer applied the permit. Saw in this forum that another EM unit also install the condenser outside.

No budget to change to new staircase. So asked renovator to vanish to 2 diff shades of walnut. Remove the 80s look and effect was pretty good

Today carpentry guys are here.

I braved my heart to check ...

Wow..past 930pm and they r still working.

Only see mainly skeletons. But hubby alredi yak yak yak....

Low shoe cabinet. Like the wood grains BUT.. They be stripped out as the edges can't be smoothed out..

Full height book shelves

I'm kinda disappointed the laminate is much lighter tone

A few,misalignments of the shelves

And the backing took up 5 cm..so it's kinda narrow..

Hubby frowned !!!

Tks. I'm looking forward. Reno is so mentally and emotionally torturing .

Hubby just blasted at renovator.

And I'm turning sleepless cos of the joints of the laminate of the shoe cabinet.

Cos of the rough texture, it won't be a smooth finish but I like this texture.

So cracking head big big whether to change the top to a smooth laminate.

I guess for most of us..it's gek sim over tiling and carpentry cos it's the big items we see .

U need to be mentally prepared for any changes in the course of the reno n also for surprises which can either make u smile or cause ur blood to boil. Whatever it is, still need to remain calm n patient to resolve unsettled issues. Hopefully it is a win-win situation.... Nobody loses.

If u read my reno blog, I too had many unpleasant n awkward experiences with my ID but eventually we managed to work out peacefully n professionally.

Really dunno wat happen. Renovator blah blah abt support , stability & abt Sliding door is a waste of $$$ and the design evolves into just a normal bookshelf.

I just hope my range of books will just dress up the shelves.
